A few years back, I traveled to Egypt for a friend’s wedding. I extended the trip to see more of the country, as I wanted to steep myself in this ancient part of the world, to explore this storied and historic country. I wanted to visit the pyramids of Giza and see the waterfront of Alexandria, walk through Cairo’s neighborhoods and dive in the Red Sea. The usual. For these photographs, I brought along a Lomo LC-A and a Contax T3, plus an old SX-70 Polaroid camera. I had a lot of 35mm film lying around and I wanted to use some of it. The images below are a small sample of the visual diary I kept while there. Nothing specific. Life, and all the rest.
